Dr. Kristin P. Solimani, DNP, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is an accomplished Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience. She has dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health and holds national certifications from both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. With a passion for providing comprehensive care in the field of psychiatry, she is the proud founder of City Psychiatry, a private outpatient practice specializing in adolescent and adult psychiatry.
Dr. Solimani earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from Baylor University. She completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch. During her doctoral studies, she developed a research model focused on addiction. Seeking additional specialization, Dr. Solimani continued her education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she obtained a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The prestigious training at Johns Hopkins exposed her to various psychiatric disorders across the lifespan, honing her skills in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Solimani is a seasoned healthcare professional with a distinguished career spanning over 11 years, specializing in emergency medicine and psychiatry. Through her diverse clinical experiences, she has come to deeply understand the interconnection between physical and mental health, recognizing that both are intricately linked. Central to Dr. Solimani’s approach is her deep-seated belief in the power of kindness and empathy as catalysts for healing and recovery.
